Mr. Bieber's practice focuses on criminal and civil white collar defense litigation (both high profile and extremely confidential) for individuals, as well as major multi-million dollar businesses, in all Federal and State Courts at the trial and appellate levels. His practice concentrates on the defense of Banking, Bankruptcy, Computer, Health Care, Insurance, Mail, Money Laundering, Mortgage, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate, RICO, Tax, Wire and other types of Fraud, and Complex Litigation (both Criminal and Civil). Mr. Bieber also represents businesses, corporate executives, prominent clients, ordinary citizens and others accused of alleged (violent and non-violent) criminal conduct, as well as in grand jury investigations, regulatory matters, Native American law and Gaming law. He has successfully represented, by way of dismissals before trial, and acquittals by juries, numerous clients charged with serious criminal activity who were facing lengthy prison sentences if convicted. Mr. Bieber is admitted to the Florida Bar, the New York Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Bieber is a member of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Mr. Bieber is a Member of the Board of Directors, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), 2009 — present. Mr. Bieber is a recipient of Daily Business Review's 2005 Most Effective South Florida Lawyer Award. He was also named a finalist of Daily Business Review's 2007 Most Effective South Florida Lawyer Award. Mr. Bieber has been acknowledged in SuperLawyers 2006-2010, and named by Florida Trend Magazine as a Legal Elite for the years 2005, 2008 and 2010. He has successfully challenged, by way of Appeal, Florida law enforcement's ability to collect DNA samples from convicted felons who are no longer being supervised by the State. Mr. Bieber has earned an "AV" rating in Martindale-Hubbell, has been featured numerous times in the Miami Herald, Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Post, Ocala Star Banner and other daily newspapers across the country. He has also been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and National Law Journal; and appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, Telemundo, 48 Hours, Fox News Channel as well as other radio and television appearances throughout the United States and internationally. Mr. Bieber graduated from Rutgers University in 1991, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing from the School of Business, and from the University of Miami School of Law in 1994. Mr. Bieber was born in New York, November 26, 1969, raised in Brooklyn, New York and East Brunswick, New Jersey. He is married, with one daughter and one son.
